aristotle

The quote that I choose from the Aristotle reading to blog about is" he who have the power to take part in the deliberative or judicial administration of any state is said by us to be a citizen of that state; and speaking generally; a state is a body of citizens sufficing for the purpose of life"
I believe Aristotle is saying that it is an honor to be a  part of a state and contribute or be able to contribute in that state. one have the power and liberty to take part in government duties, stand up for justice, vote for leaders of their choice. the people in that state that can deliberately take part  in such powerful and honorable duties  are adequately giving meaning/purpose  to their lives, the lives of others and the state at large, these people  are citizens
This to me mean that if I actively participate  in judicial duties of any kind in the state I belong to this work of honor makes me  a citizen of the state.
