what i saw in america

I am blogging about the part of the reading which say travel ought to combine amusement with instructions; but most travelers are so much amused that they refuse to be instructed.
I believe that Chesterton is saying that its ok to be amused as a traveler, travelling in a place other than your home. it's different the place, the way of life or the people, may do things or look different from what u usually do or see, its ok to be amused but it needs to be balanced with following instructions if instructions are not followed it can have negative impact most of the time.
For me this means a lot, this quote I can relate to. Initially when I vacationed here in  America I was amused by a lot of things including the way that the people behaved with one another including the senseless fights, the Slangs and Ebonics spoken by some of the people the lyrics to the rap music ,the food and dances. I cannot just be amused I also have to follow instructions and also remember that one of the instruction may very well be to be mindful of others because to me it may be amusing but to another it may be offensive. as travelers we will find things different and amusing we are allowed to chuckle or simply be amused but we also have to follow instructions because every place is different and has its own culture and way of doing things
